Services for children and adults with Autistic Spectrum Disorders including Asperger’s

• We provide a range of services for children and adults who are on the spectrum. This includes

  • Assessment of children with ASD
  • ADOS and ADI-R for the comprehensive diagnosis and evaluation of skills of children with ASD.
  • Diagnosis of Asperger’s syndrome in children and adults.
  • Support with the management of behavioural problems in children and young people on the spectrum
  • Individual therapy or counselling for young people and adults with Asperger’s

• FAHCSIA funded Services for young children with ASD

  Apex Psychology is part of the St Anthony’s consortium “Autism Nexus”. This scheme provides access to a range of government funded services for young children who have been diagnosed as having ASD. For further information about this scheme please look at the fahcsia website www.fahcsia.gov.au

• Social Skills group- Term 4 2010

  We will be running a social skills group for children aged between 8 and 10 years, who have an ASD diagnosis and are in mainstream school. The group will be held in the Burwood or Ashfield area. It will run after school on Thursdays and will begin in Term 4. We hope to have application forms available shortly once we have confirmed the venue for the group.
